melange around the coffee table -
our memories of PL

We remember..
The song 'To God be the Glory'
An epitome of what was to be
Elim, Genesis, Ebenezer, Jireh, Bethel, Shekinah and Shalom;
Withered to dust we now see.
The sun reveals a new tomorrow, us and the school depart.
But the united voices of PL in the morning are etched deeply within us;
entrenched in our hearts.

Tapping in and tapping out,
The lessons taught in view of God,
Oh thy heart warms at the mere thought
Of chapels on Wednesdays and the celebration of eternal life every other day
And of course those chairs that needed to be moved.

Pl today still stands-
The cheer
The hymn? Can you still recall it?
The song
The crest
The creed
The motto
The life we all once sought.
Short hair only, our '6-toed' socks,
Chew, Archer, Dodsworth, Lee,

One voice, one soul, one PL
Our 'other' sister unheard yet
Seen in the shadows of history -
I am a PL-lite
A privy that holds the key to the world,
Stories and fantasies unravelled.
The pain and joy
Competitions we won and lost yet praised the Lord

What enlightenment we gained
Tis the friendship that remained
As we bonded together and soared on eagles' wings.
The teething years of infancy to GRACIOUS adults we want to be
The crazed time of youth we bring with us
As we enter another dimension
In which the well with no water is soon to be filled
We will always her the bells of PL righ
And will be true for there are those who trust us

May the good Lord bless and keep us till we meet again
